Abstract: La presente investigación pretende determinar el tipo de dificultades que tienen jóvenes estudiantes en la comprensión de elementos textuales de tipo concesivo (a pesar de. aunque), adversativo restrictivo (sín embargo, no obstante), adversativo exclusivo (por el contrario) y causal (debido a. por lo tanto). Para ello ,se analizaron tres grupos de sujetos de diferentes niveles escolares secundaria, licenciatura y postgrado a los cuales se les aplicó una prueba que consta de dos partes fundamentales: la primera consiste en completar oraciones y párrafos con alguno de los conectivos propuestos. La segunda, consiste en comparar pares de oraciones determinando si son coherentes o no y el tipo de diferencia existente teniendo en cuenta el nexo utilizado. Los resultados evidencian que los conectivos de tipo adversativo restrictivo (.~in embargo. no obstante) y el concesivo (aunque) presentan mayor dificultad en su uso adecuado. Los conectivos más fácilmente comprendidos por los tres grupos de la muestra son los causales seguidos del adversativo exclusivo (por el contrario). En la segunda parte de la. prueba se evidencia que no existen diferencias significativas en cuanto al manejo del tipo de conectivos por parte de los tres grupos de la muestra.
Description: The present investigation seeks to determine the type of dífficulties·that young students have to understand textual elements of concessive type (in spite of,. although), restrictive adversative (however, nevertheless), exclusive adversative (on the contrary) and causal (dueto, therefore} For this were analyzed it three groups of subject of secondary different 1eveJs scholars, licentiate and graduate degree to which were applied a test that consists of two fundamental parts: the first one consists on completing sentences and paragraphs with some of the proposed connectors. The second,. consist on comparing even of sentences determining if they are coherent or not and the type of existent difference keeping in mind the used nexus. The results evidence · that the connectors of type restrictive adversative (however~ nevertheless) and the concessive one (although) they present bigger difficulty in their appropriate use. The connectors more easily understood by the three groups of the sample they are the causal followed by the exclusive adversative (on the contrary). In the second part of the test it is evidenced that significant differences don't exist as for the handling of the connectors type on the part of the three groups of the sample.
